Lunations

Originally a written piece, Lunations draws inspiration from a discussion with my godmother, who told me that she measures her life in full moons.  It explores the theme of embracing the darkness of winter whilst discovering the light within its shadows.

The accompanying animated film combines still photographs of the full moon, creating a kaleidoscopic, Rorschach-like effect. This visual narrative is enhanced with spoken word, field recordings, and music, showcasing a  musical collaboration with Edinburgh based electronic musician The Lost Past Society, aka John McRitchie.
